Yule Log in Boston?

Just wondering, did the Yule Log ever air on Boston television? If so, which station aired it, and when was it taken off?

I don't remember it: isn't that just a NY thing?

Used to be. Now Tribune is showing it on its stations all over the county. Since Tribune doesn't own a station in Boston any Yule log they have in Boston isn't the real deal.

Tribune used to own channel 56 - but that was sold to Sunbeam earlier this year. So, the Yule log will probably go the way of the "Channel 56 News at 10" now.

WZMY (MyTV) began airing a virtual yule log last year. They continue again this year with a simulcast on Oldies 103.3.

How on earth do you simulcast a yule log? Would'n the crackling sound be confused with static? :)

I don't believe there's any crackling since it's just a computer animation... and it's MyTV. (Doing so would involve a little too much work).

I think the one time they aired it in Boston was on WKBG-TV channel 56 in 1975.
