When will Yuma become an Arbitron market. Large population. If it was, it would
be Top 200.

Call Arbitron. Get the market set up. Buy the book... Simple...

Reality is there is no need for Arbitron in that market. Easier to sell without it, I would imagine. Kinda like Havasu / Bullhead / Laughlin... Tons of people but Arbitron would be a hinderance..

Using the 2007 estimates, Yuma (the whole county) would be about market 230 or 231.

Thanks Rock and David - Eastlan was in there. Small amount of signals, just two owners and only a handful of stations. MSA Yuma is 217 around 172,000.

With just a handful of stations there, the ARB book is really a non-factor. Let Eastlan rule the roost so to speak. I wholeheartedly believe a ratings service is a ratings service IMO.

Speaking of Yuma. I cannot hear Mexicali or El Centro stations in Yuma. I only could pick up one Mexican station on 102.5 only.

There are 4 FMs and 5 AMs in San Luis RĂo Colorado, Sonora, right across the border from Yuma. 102.5 is one of those SLRC FMs.

XHMIX 98.3 broadcasts out of Mexicali, and I was able to pick them up in Yuma on a recent trip. Forget about it if you drive 20 miles east of Yuma, where KKFR starts to bleed in.
