I should have been more clear. Yes, you're right in saying that to use them as an example to mimick what they are doing today is bad. Their ratings are in the toilet again. BUT, I was more so trying to point out the success that they had previously when Extreme Radio signed off and the Point picked up some of the bigger titles that Extreme was playing. It was a nice waterfall that KPNT rode for several years. Again, going balls to the wall, so to speak, and completely changing the musical identity of the Edge in Tulsa is not the solution. But putting some of the BIGGEST active rock records on the radio station is a good way to shore up where the hole is and keeping KMOD at bay. Remember from a listeners point of view, rock stations are just that ROCK STATIONS. They don't think in radio terms, i.e. Active Rock, Mainstream Rock, Alternative Rock, Classic Rock, etc. Their world is more black and white.
