Z 88.3 has just bought 88.5 WWIA which is licensed to Palm Bay and serves a portion of the Melbourne market. Z 88.3 currently broadcasts on WPOZ Union Park-Orlando, WMYZ Cleremont-Winter Garden-Apopka, WEAZ Holly Hill Daytona Beach as full power signals. Translators for Z are at 90.3 Taveres, 96.9 Leesburg, 102.7 Groveland & 95.9 Mount Dora.

All RIGHT!!!! Ten years of jamming has stopped! That stupid little 88.5 allocation was a thorn in the side the whole time I lived there, I was less than a mile from the tower and without the narrow ceramic filter modification, none of my radios could get Z-88. I talked to that church that got the allocation, they were convinced that their little station was a more important ministry than Z-88. But I can't help but wonder - did that church decide to get that allocation just so they could extort money from Z-88?
We are very excited about the addition of the 88.5-WWIA signal (calls will become WHYZ on December 8th) to the Z family. Victory Christian Academy has been nothing but wonderful to work with through all of this and our purchase of their facility not only allows us to improve reception of the Z in Palm Bay and parts of Melbourne, it allows the church to move forward with a project of importance to them. A win-win situation for both ministries.
