Z 95.3

Z 95.3 in I think it's Vancouver or something the calls are CKZZ it's a Canada Radio Station that has it's signal going into part of Washington, so this has to do with US listeners. They apparently flipping go to www.z953.com for more information

The old Z95.3 has flipped to something called "Crave 95." Altohough the liners bill it as "Music That Moves You," after listening to "Crave" for about 45 minutes it seems their playlist is more "up tempo" and less dance oriented than the local "Movin" station here in Portland. Maybe they are planning on tweaking it over the next few months. I expect to hear lots of Nelly Furtado, BNL and Nickelback due to "can-con" rules. (Funny thing I just noticed, there's a Hot/AC station here in Portland that seems to play as much Canadian Content as some stations north of the border...)

The logic for the name is so stupid. "Women use that word a lot."
---
The name Crave was market tested "and scored higher with females than males because I think females do more craving than males do," said station manager Gary Russell.
"Whether it is chocolate or whatever, women have craves, and it's a word they use frequently. And it was different from anything else that was being done."
---
Well people use the word "retarded" to describe almost everything. How about "Retarded 95."

Or why not call the station "Ice Cream 95." People like ice cream.

Stupid.
