Z100 Adds Saturday Night Online Live With Romeo

Local ain't always better.

Exactly! And 92.3 has almost no syndicated programming... and is losing. Horribly. Still. Point is... The 18+ female demo doesn't care about the same things that radio nerds on a radio message board, care about. Content wins. How come radio has evolved and listeners have evolved, but people on these boards are afraid of change? Radio is no longer just radio.... radio is a content business.

Some more info on the Romeo show at this link: http://www.fmqb.com/article.asp?id=1726802

It originally debuted on March 27, 2010, so it's been 19 months before it made its way to Z100. It airs live Saturdays 7pm-Midnight ET.

Of course, Romeo (Tim Herbster) is a Z100 alumnus of the 2002-2009 "Romeo on The Radio" era and served as Assistant MD from '03-'06 and MD from '06-'09. He's since been at Goom Radio and then at Q102 WIOQ Philadelphia as PD and afternoon DJ.

It's noted in the above post that "Saturday Night Online" had been on the air for over a year and a half before making its way to the New York market. Usually, it's the other way around: a relatively new program (Nick Cannon, anyone?) starts syndication including in huge markets like New York, before it is all but forgotten about in over a year and a half.

Does anyone happen know when was the last time that Z100 enjoyed a 10.0 or higher share 12+?

I know it would have to be at least 15+ years ago, but I can't remember if or when they last hit that number?

Thanks!

We had Saturday Night Online Live With Romeo on Channel 955 Detroit for around a half-year... I hated it because it replaced one of the best mix shows that was on 8-10 PM for years on 955. Then they removed Romeo and brought back the mixshow.
