Never mind...Listening on-line now.

It's the ballad version.

Both. The dance version comes on at night.

Smart.

Been listening on-line for the past few hours.
They really are as good as everybody says, arent they?

If i was PD of a CHR like Z100, I'd never run the ballad version of anything. And I'd play re-mixed version of the slower charted music. But that's just me, I guess...

Why? CHR stations have always played slower songs, and they used to play many more than they do now. It's good to have a little variety in the music once in a while.

Yes... yes, they are! Best CHR station in the world I'd be tempted to say... but that'd be a debate and a half ;-)<P ID="signature">______________

Because slow is boring. And boring don't get the ratings...
Besides, slow is what AC and Soft AC are for, IMHO.

Consider this, there were less "slow" songs on Top 40 in the 80s than there are now. (and by slow, I don't mean balads, I mean slow as in low energy). So, how's the CHR format doing today?

What other CHR's play both??

The dance version is better IMHO, but also has alot to do with my taste in music. I wonder how many other CHR's play both, I know K104 does, KC 101 in Hamden I think just plays the ballad version (could play the dance version to haven't heard it though) BLI on the Island used to play both but now they pretty much just play the dance version.

Ive heard the dance version on KC101 in New Haven .... however it was friday night so it may have been one of their club shows.

Well obviously Cubby knows what he is doing as MD at Z100 playing both versions. Slow is for AC? Narrowminded.

Actually just heard the ballad version on BLI, so they are still playing both, but mostly the dance version

IMHO = In My Humble Opinion. I do not claim to know better than anyone else, and certainly not the PD of the CHR in Market #1.
