Z100's Jingle Ball 2006

Did anyone attend this, or listen to it? I saw pictures of JoJo (the singer) meeting fans, and I'm a bit jealous because I want to meet her too. And I saw some pictures of her being interviewed by JJ. I would like to see either an audio or video file of that interview. Does anyone know where it would be available if so? Thanks.

I think most of the people on this board, being of post-middle-school age, are too old to have any interest in Jingle Ball 2006. Who else was there? Hannah Montana? Jibbs? Aaron freakin' Carter? Crazy Frog? I shouldn't even know who these people are, but somehow I found out about them and they're all terrible. Almost makes me wish I were deaf!

Wow are you people OLD! One of you mentions acts who were popular 1 ans 2 years ago and Disney only acts and one of you calls one of the best run mega concerts a train wreck? Sad. You don't have to belittle someone becuase they aren't stuck in 1965. If anyone is a train wreck, it's the Stones and The Who, whose new album is just sad. Your parents would have made the same posts about those crazy Beatles. Lighten up.

Wow, someone here is actually hinting at a possible comparison between the Beatles and (gasp!) Jojo?  ::)
Z-100 is an amazing CHR, and their concerts are BIG, but let's face it - the average Jojo fan as Soulcrusher properly pointed out IS in Middle school, and she is huge on Radio Disney. "Leave (Get Out)" was in Power rotation on Radio Disney for over a year.

It was also a big hit on Z100. Believe me, Jojo and the Beatles have nothing in common besides being too young for the 45 year olds when they first broke. My point was that the posters were harsh on things they know nothing about and were puting things down that aren't supposed to appeal to them. ..Happy Holidays!

Z100's Jingle Ball is basically a meat-market of the current "Hot Acts" in top 40 that the station won't care about in 6 months or a year. Every act gets up there, plays 4-5 songs, the stage spins, and the next act goes. It's a sham, a waste of money, and basically just a way to stroke the station's ego.

Wow...someone's pissed that they didn't win tickets!!!! I saw the show...with the exception of RBD it kicked ass.

Ha ha, z100's music only appeals to middle aged kids. Sorry, that's not the case. Women between the ages of 24 and 32 are z's target, but hey no fault on the people here, [EDIT]

I have to say that if adult women are making songs like "My Humps", "Laffy Taffy", "Chain Hang Low", "Hollaback Girl" and "London Bridge" hits - we're in trouble, folks. Pure Radio Disney junk, regardless of the use of certain objectionable words. I find it hard to fathom that someone with an educational level above the fifth grade would somehow find songs like this appealing. But hey, what do I know?

Agreed. Though, I do say, Hollaback Girl has an enjoyable beat. Ah, but I long for the days when Gwen Stefani was ska girl...(think the average Z listener even knows what ska is?)

YES, they know what Ska is...the questions seems to be, do YOU guys know anything about 18-35 year old females because you seem to think they are all midless twits who only know the 3 songs on Z100 that you can name. Sure, some don't delve into music as you or I do, but many have had varied musical tastes over the years. CHR is about many formats rolled into one. It's people who listen to Rock only stations or Oldies only stations that I worry don't know quite as much as a teen who has an IPOD, MTV, ITUNES and Kazaa. Do you really think they don' know Gwen was in No Doubt? Z100 played the hell out of No Doubt. Sheesh!

But technically, No Doubt was only a ska band for the early part of their career through their first couple of albums. Then they turned into a new wave/soft rock band - very radio-friendly, not surprising at all that their new sound went over big even though I didn't think much of it. Then they turned into a synthesized pop/reggae/R&B act for their last album. A lot of people are not familiar with No Doubt as a ska band since their first two albums yielded no major hits, and the only ska sounding song that Z100 would have played was "Spiderwebs".
