I don't recall since I wasn't here for awhile but, didn't they try this before with very little success?

They did, but it was a very half-assed attempt. The playlist was more of a Top 40/Hot AC hybrid/bastardization, with more of an emphasis on Top 40. This is the first time WZAT has actually made a concerted effort at being a Hot AC station, what with the new name, positioner, and format faithful playlist.

They suck. Cumulus Savannah is being fined 10k for WBMQ-AM technical violations. They have no clue what they are doing in programming except for the Urbans and to think they fired Sam Nelson?! Did anyone hear news about the blackout or tornadoes on their news-talk? Midnight? Anyone really think Jan Jefferies is all that?...look at the dude's hair. Hot AC is dead. John D. is an arrogant hack and his brother is about to find out what it's like w/o any lubricant or money. I feel embarrassed for anyone who is on the Cloud Train to Hell.

The day that the domain was registered is a Shocker 2 whole days AFTER the flip.

Try that in a BIG city market.

"Cumulus Savannah is being fined 10k for WBMQ-AM technical violations."

Which occurred more than 4 years ago.

"Did anyone hear news about the blackout or tornadoes on their news-talk? Midnight?"

The power was out at the WBMQ transmitter site, you DA. Take your prozac and cool down.

There are a lot of great people that work at 214 TV circle...and a few not so great...just like at any station/cluster. The difference is, the peeps on the "cloud train" don't costantly bitch and moan, don't hide behind screen names...AND have jobs in radio.

It's time to double your prozac.

Caveman you didnt come for st.pats im pissed and the giants still suck (go lions).

I certainly do not hide behind a screen name, and I do work in radio. Can I double my prozac intake anyways?

At least double the Makers, Phil.

The truth is, there are good people at Cumulus, like there are at CC, Adventure, wherever...And there are some serious sh*theads as well. Some do well, some get the hammer, some just muddle through... For every Caveman (sorry man, but you're a perfect example) who gets the shaft, there's a Lexi Kaye type who sails through to better things. Over on the dark side - for every Jan Jeffries (1984 called, Miami Vice wants its wardrobe back) who seems fireproof, even though he hasn't made a good decision since Ice-T was killing cops and not playing one on tv..there's a Sam Nelson, whose abusive and racist attitude ultimately expose his inability to handle the OM position.

Really doesn't make radio different from any other industry anywhere...

But Makers Mark is expensive and I can't get a $4 prescription for it! But it's really good. Next time you see me out, introduce yourself and I'll buy you one! lol...

Phil and Peter O'Toole...separated at birth? :D

Working for CC Sav out of my home doing sales. Only in Savannah for about an hour every Monday morning. I am on HHI almost daily making the rounds. Moving to Atlanta sometime in the near future.

GOTTA CHIME IN HERE! I don't know which Cumulus employee past or present posted the above, but it would
be nice for you to show your face. In regards to Sam Nelson, he is a class act. I'm all for free speech, but please
put a "real" name with the commentary so we can all consider the source.

Matt Black

I think so too matt black...If that is even your REAL name haha
