Z102 Lubbock is now KISS FM!

I got to the stream via wikipedia and it sounds like they are jockless and have quit playing the "Z102" promos. Good job on predicting this one Garrett.

Hope the "Kiss FM" format works better for Lubbock.

I wonder how long they will stunt like this and what the last song will be?

It's sad to see a station that has been around for such a long time go down hill.

Perhaps the calls should be KIIZ and it can be KIIZ (pronounced Kiss) FM.

Or maybe it's all just a fun promotion before Z102 is relaunched. Hmmm...

Nope. I think Garrett is right. I'm pretty sure the Z102 era in Lubbock is over. Now, if there wasn't a 1025kiss domain registered that has "KZII-FM" as the page title, then I think it would be better to say that they might relaunch.

But, you know it's time to kill the Z when you tie with rimshot KSTQ in the ratings.

cspot is absoultely right...there is really nothing to see or hear. In fact, I am changing nothing about myself today, I will wear the same clothes and speack the same language, but starting at 5pm today, I wll be known as Keith.

I'm really excited about this change!
It's like getting a late Christmas present (if I celebrated Christmas...)
I also like that their going with Jackson Blue from KHKS. So mornings and afternoons will be pretty much be the same as Kiss in Amarillo, and both shows are coming from Clear Channel Kiss clones, which from my experience, is one format Clear Channel does well!

Last few songs were:

New Found Glory: Kiss Me
Seal: Kiss From a Rose
Chris Brown: Kiss Kiss
Soulja Boy: Kiss me through the phone
Prince & The Revolution: Kiss

First song on Kiss: Poker Face by Lady Gaga.

I'm sure someone recorded it. But it really wasn't anything special. This "format flip" kind of reminded me the way The Twister in Dallas flipped to Platinum. Played one last song and went right into the oldies format without anything special.

Oh well. Hope this format works better then the Z
 
For some reason, I can't get the flash player to work on my computer to hear the stream.

I spent most of last month in Austin, and I saw the 96.7 Kiss FM van several times. It uses the "ball" logo on the van, but the website uses a logo much more similar to KZII. I suspect you'll find something similar in Lubbock. KHKS is also using a logo similar to KZII and KHFI on the website. I haven't seen the 106.1 Kiss FM van in 13 years. So, I couldn't tell you if it does the same thing, but it wouldn't surprise me.
 
i read that "E" will not be on the air on "kiss"? ..an off-air PD.... hummmm, wonder what else he might be doing around there?
