Z104.5 in Tulsa Voice Tracking?

It sounds like Z104.5 the Edge is no longer "live." Except the morning show and parts of the evening, the mid-day and afternoon shifts sound voice-tracked. Am I right?

The station is losing its personality. Always liked the fact the Edge was live even when other stations were tracked. Now the Edge sounds the exact same.

The Edge lost it's personality years ago. Like The Sound, they're a station that rides different genres and you end up with a muddled mess. They want to claim being "alternative", but they lean active rock (then again, the lines between those two genres are very blurred these days anyway).

I don't know about the other dayparts, but I know that middays are voicetracked.

KMYZ has someone in the studio 6am-Midnight, unless someone is using the bathroom.
I know they have had someone in studio from 6am-12am, but is that still the case? The DJs sound like inserts, it does not sound live in the least bit. Too polished, too prepped, rarely mentions anything current i.e. a traffic accident causing problems, the weather, the DJ doesn't do anything but intro/outro songs.

But hasn't that been Shamrock's approach for awhile? At least locally? Less talk, more music? No talking over the songs, that sort of thing. It looks good on paper, but it makes for boring radio.

Kriegler has to find a new night jock now...maybe he can find someone with personality (unless he decides Mikey B is that person fulltime).
