Z106.7 dead?

At around 1:30am, Z 106 was broadcasting dead air with occasional pop sounds. Is this the end of Z106 finally? or was it becasue of the storm?

also, I picked up Mix 96.1 on 97.7 on 1604 between Blanco and Bitters exits. A simulcast or someting else?
 
I dont believe they will ever change they will probably stay the same format. After getting new drops and still having contests I dont see them going away any time soon IF any.

the only changes at z ar the nice new sign that is hanging on the top of the building......

looks real pretty!!!
 
damn just as I thought, just the storm. For a while there last night I had a smile on my face. I'd rather listen to dead air than Z! haha

Deejay05, you must work for Cox. The only people left out in the dark are the employees. All signs still point to a format flip before fall, even the new one on top of the building.
 
yeah i was thinking the same thing that deejay works for cox. lol i didn't know a pretty new sign on top of your building meant your station was going to stick around. when i was @ ktfm (right before it flipped to krock)...the station had just changed logo...wrapped vehicles WITH the new logos and purchased tents and the whole nine...and as quickly as that happened, the station flipped. ;D

nah not an employee and not a fan, just an observer

a flip would do z good.t a lil bit with the beat..especially hiphop to compete just because we know how much they suck.

as for miss nikki, lol.....when you were on ktfm..the station sucked....i would have changed formats too, however they had already changed what..2 3..times?

ps..im not bashing you...you sound pretty good now. still wondering when youll get a fulltime gig though?!?
 
that's funny...i never boasted on how great ktfm was in those days, it was never the same since before the beat came into town

since my ktfm days...i did have a full time ON-AIR gig in mcallen for 2 years doing mornings which is more than some people get in radio in their lifetime...and here in s.a. i have a full time gig in programming...it's just not ON-AIR, i decided to take a different direction
