Z106.7 - "Flashback" And "Time Warp"

For the last two Sunday nights while listening to Flashback on Z106 in Jackson, I heard Bill St. James' new show Time Warp playing in the background. During each of Flashback's local commercial breaks, they brought Time Warp into the forefront for those two minutes.

I wonder what's going on there. I hope they're not preparing to drop Flashback to replace it with Time Warp. I like Bill St. James, but I also like Flashback's new host Matt Pinfield. I hope they decide to air both shows, one on Sunday nights from 8 to midnight and the other in a different time slot.

I just hope Z106 doesn't drop Flashback. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Rock104 in Hattiesburg and WABO (FM 105.5) in Waynesboro have both cancelled Flashback since Matt Pinfield became host.

No. The music on the show is classic rock along with audio retro clips of TV shows, movies, news and commercials in between songs. It's the show that Bill St. James hosted for several years.

A few months ago, Bill St. James left Flashback and Matt Pinfield became the new host. Meanwhile, Bill St. James is now hosting Time Warp which is somewhat similar to Flashback.

What did they end up doing in the time slot? Matt Pinfield or Bill St James? I feel like Matt has lost more and more affiliates who have picked up Bill's Time Warp. While Bill is still my preference, I have warmed up to Matt's version of Flashback, and I like to try and catch both shows when I can.

Just a week or two after I last posted in this thread, they decided to go with Bill St. James' Time Warp. I now listen to Flashback online from the Kansas City affiliate's website (101 The Fox).
