z88.3 florida

i have been checking out a lot of internet radio lately and i have discovered most of them broadcast in some low band am mono stream but not z88.3. this station sounds like its in my back yard. crystal clear 134k stream. i have my computer system hooked up to my home stereo system via a leap frog wireless system. man does this sound good! the music aint exactly my taste most of the time but it is what i listen to if i am feeling mellow. my questiom? are there any other stations streaming with this high quality out there? just checking. <P ID="signature">______________

Wires work well, too! ;)

Well, there's their Y-Hot and Y-Rock.

Somebody has a 68k stream, but I don't remember who it is.

Codec matters a lot -- I've heard 32k streams that sound surprisingly good and 32k streams that sound awful....

91.7 The CALL (also Florida)

The CALL (WMKL-Miami) offers a 64k stream. Definitely not very mellow not targeted at moms. www.callfm.com

We looked at a couple of bandwidths and didn't see a significant benefit for streaming at a bit rate much higher than this.

Re: 91.7 The CALL (also Florida)

got the dial up stream to work but the broadband will not connect? is it a limited stream? like only so many people can listen at once?
if this was clear it would be really good!! :)...

ChristianRock.net/ChristianHardRock.net/ChristianHipHop.net all offer 96k streams through Winamp, Windows Media Player, and RealPlayer.

RadioU.com offers a 64k stream through Windows Media Player that sounds pretty good; it now requires an installation of some client called Abacast though.

ChoiceFMRadio.com I think has a higher bitrate feed, though I can't tell as the site is down at the time of this posting.

A regular poster on Radio-Info boards, Lenks, operates an internet radio station at XMusicOnline.com at 96k, though I've not tuned in to it yet.

Another RI poster, William Yeager, contributes to a station called ChargeRadio that operates through Live365 at 64k; I've not yet heard this one either.

Finally, one of my favorites, M88 from Albuquerque, used to stream at 64k, but recently dropped to a 32k stream... still sounds okay though.
