Z93 morning team let go

After Cumulus's take over of Citadel stations in Charleston, you knew something had to shake up. Tessa and Baby J, the long lasting morning team at Z93 (93.3) in Charleston, has been let go, and will be replaced by Rickey Smiley.

They already ended Baby J's company e-mail.

Their Facebook message to their fans: FB fam, fans, and friends... effective today, Da Breakfuss Club w/ Tessa and Baby J will no longer be a part of your morning routine due to corporate downsizing. We regret that we were not afforded the opportunity to say our goodbyes as we feel that is what you deserve after supporting us for the past 12 years. With you, we have laughed, cried, joked, and argued :). We will never forget you.

Once Cumulus took I saw this coming from day 1. It's safe to say Rickey Smiley is back on-air in the 843. His show will now be heard in most of the SC markets except for Greenville. Did Cumulus ever hire a full timer to take middays since Deja Dee departed? Hopefully this is the beginning of Z93 being refreshed for 2012. Now what happens over at 95SX?
 
i'm shocked and i've never listen to the breakfuss club in its entirety in all the years it was on--maybe 5-10 minutes here and there.
 
A bunch of people dislike that z93 Jamz is dropping the show.

Now Cumulus has Rickey Smiley on all their Urban stations around this area starting with Coast 97.3 Wilmington, 98.5 KISS FM Myrtle Beach, E 93 Savannah, and now z93 Jamz Charleston.

I think Cumulus could have syndicated Da Breakfest Klub like Citadel did but the show didn't work in Providence on Hot 106, but it would have worked in the south I think.

Beware: Cumulus does a lot of voicetracking on there Urban stations. Myrtle Beach, Savannah, Florence and Macon, GA are a few I can remember..
