So what's the new Z97 sound like? I saw their new logo on a myspace page and saw their slogan is "Your Hit Music Station", and also their logo shows Z97.1, rather then just Z97. Who's doing the voiceover, how do they sound, etc.??

Also, what is their website being 971kiss.com is no longer in use.

The closest station to Poughkeepsie that broadcasts on 97.1 is NPR out of Hudson... The next closest is WQHT out of NYC... after that you have to look out of state...
 
They are using "Z97 - Your Hit Music Station" on the air. Not much to write home about, pretty standard playlist for a rural CHR. Sounds like the old Z97 in fact.
 
I can remember going to Lake George in the summers when i was younger (1980's) and it was WRUT it was a good hit music station...I still go up to the area often to visit relatives and i know it has been KISS 97.1 for some time now and it really wasnt great. Hopefully the new format is better.
