are the staff for z97 trying sell satelite radios. the more i listen the more i want one. stop laughing at your own jokes and talk about something good instead of the same stuff. Where did all of the on air staff go. It changes evry month.

Judy Anderson-Being under-utilized at the new Cat Country 105.3-doing mornings, and of course, she is the best of the bunch in that building.

Jackie Donavan-Me thinks she is in Albany working for Disaster Radio
JB-Not sure, but a true talent...anyone know his wherabouts? I know Pokey Bear misses his boyish good looks(ever work 40 hours with the stunt doubles from "Dawn of the Dead?" eeeeks)
Djvince-In Boston, doing sales at JAMMIN 945
Ashley Hoover-I think is in Mass as well, although probably not in radio---One encounter behind closed doors with a deranged madman, may have scared her off!!

Regarding laughin at your own jokes.. what good would a strainer have been on the titanic? That's the situation on Door Drive. They're trying, I mean she is trying. A 50,000 watt jukebox, with a line-up of 2 rookies and the rest voicetrackers...Nuff said. Just admit it folks, the Greatest station that market has seen is all but done now! Just makes you wonder, what the suit in NY is thinking. Oh well, I've switched to XM anyway, so I guess maybe they are trying to sell Satelitte radios. gotta sell something, right? The chirping crickets that represent the once filled commercials logs on Z97, tell us all , that they ain't selling ads!!

I think you're being a little hard on someone at Z97. Take it easy! How much can one person do? Perhaps you're upset because you couldn't fall in line and be a team player like the rookies at Z. Don't worry all, Z97 will be back, bigger and better than ever. Phantom doesn't lie!

Besides, everyone knows Z97 has always been a stepping stone for many a great talent. Unless you want to live just above the poverty line in Rutland, you move on to greener pastures. Z has always been a place to learn and grow your talent. I think everyone is doing a fine job with what they're given. In a couple of weeks, in the new studio, all will be in place!

I not being hard on any individual at Z. When is the last time you heard a new jock on JJR or Cat or even WSYB. Jesus and moses are still their. But why Z. Why would the catamount crazy house just let it go to hell!!!

Like arnie says John Lawrence, djv1, jackie d, JB, Ashely, judy must I go on. didn't it start with Ed Kelly and ken gilbert back in the day. I bet if ed or nancy left JJR They would either find a way to keep em or put some kind of effort into finding replacement jocks. I am not critisizing Z at all. I am diappointed at what it has become and how the ones who run it from merchants blow don't care about the dorr and put no effort in it at all to build to what it once was or something that resembles its past

Poon- you were spot on, or so I thought until I read:

Having had to listen to Judy since the mid 90's when her husband got her a job at SYB, she has been horrible. Worse than watching paint dry. BEST of the bunch? Uh...have you not looked at Gilbert's resume? Even the bagboy Ed Kelly has more talent doing safe ac. I think at one point, he was pretty good back in his CT days.

The Z has had a few success stories through the years, although not as many as one would hope. Most of the jocks have either left the business to get a higher paying job at Walmart, or just toil in small market radio. That isn't necessarily say that is their fault in every instance...short of a big market guy on vacation at Killington hearing them, the odds are pretty slim. What I have never understood, however, is why the Z didn't attract better talent, pay a little better, and really been a powerhouse. With the power of the stick, Killington, and the surrounding area, there could be a little more effort building a long term power station, rather than simply a means to hit a bottom line number by hiring terrible staff who will work for $5.00 and hour and voice tracking the rest.

Oh, and Poon, for the record, you stole "Nuff Said". Give it back.

Z97...cheap? You bet! Ed Kelley offered me a morning gig in '94 for 20k. Gimmie a break...I was pulling in 25k doing overnights on a small market station in upstate New York. I said I needed more and he said okay, how about 22k? What a joke!!!!

Z97 isn't cheap...it's broke!!! Funny that when you mention 22k and or 25k, me thinks thats closer to what the station sells in ads per month!! No doubt a far cry from the much much much more it used to do in business. Remember those days, under the so called "evil empire" of clear channel? anyone have a direct line to Albany? Enuff already, time to cut your losses or cut your losers!!

Pliff. MAYBE you weren't worth the $25K? MAYBE $22K was offered so you could feel better about declining the second amount? Just because you were getting $25K for doing overnights at some loser station doesn't mean you weren't over paid! MAYBE the joke is that YOU thought you were worth more in '94!

Fact is, Z97 has always been a stepping stone. Somehow #1, even with the air-staff you all seem to rag on. Getting beat by a group of rookies, part timers and trackers? All these years and Z-7, Kiss, and Z-97 has been in the top 3 of #179 and now #181, and there's nothing you can seem to do about it. Lots of hate! Maybe you haters ought to concentrate on getting your station CLOSE to Z-97 in the ratings. Or just save the energy and go green! Believe in Z!

Phantom, c-mon, your telling me that the staff that is there now "the rookies" as you say, made that station #1? HAHAHA. That is a far cry from the truth. The 2007 book you are refering to has nothing to do with the current staff there now. DJV1, JACKIE, JOHN L, JB thats what got z97 ratings not the sleepless and seatle bunch you have now.....C-MON FLAUNT THOSE #'S ALL YOU WANT........ WE ALL KNOW WHAT REALLY IS GOING ON.

What's going on is a group of people from inside the House can do nothing but whine and complain! C'mon, lighten up just a bit. At some point you have to decide what your future is and who you want to spend it with. For once become a team player OR quit the team. You're bringing down the whole room man! Offer something constructive for once, get away from your computer, get out of the cubicle and go sell something. You and the whole group of Pamal haters should look in the mirror FIRST! Maybe you're part of the problem!
