shame..

http://www.angelfire.com/nj2/piratejim/

8/12/05: Long time Rock radio veteran and Clear Channel WNNJ/North Jersey morning host and WAXQ (Q104.3)/New York weekender Zach Martin has announced that he will begin an exciting new chapter in his radio career, by accepting the position of Creative Services Director at Christian Pillar of Fire Christian WAWZ (Star 99.1).
Star 99.1 has signals in North Jersey and upstate New York.
Martin said goodbye to his North Jersey audience this morning and will host his final Saturday evening at Q104.3 on August 21st.
Martin officially joins Star on August 22nd, and will continue to work for the Jones Radio Network and on other projects.
“I am excited to go on this new adventure with Star 99.1,” comments Martin.
“I believe Christian radio will be the biggest format in the next five years in the New York area. It’s already the biggest in my heart. I have always wanted to do radio that truly serves the community. I am also really excited about working with Star Program Director and morning man Johnny Stone- he truly is one of the best djs in the country!”

On the website, it says James Greene will be on in the morning, but is this just temporary because he does afternoon/evening news on the CC cluster including WSUS, WNNJ FM, and WNNJ AM. If he moves to mornings, will he still do PM news or will someone replace him? I will give a it a listen tomorrow.
______________

Someone will be doing afternoon news in my place.

The company has posted the position as they are legally obligated to do so.

Just hoping to have a good time! It's exciting to be back in mornings, for however short or long a time it is.

James is definetly a true radio professional. He is an excellent newscaster and a great jock. I liked him on WSUS when he was a fill in jock and I enjoy him on WNNJ. Good luck James!
______________

Thank you both, that's very kind of you. Hopefully tomorrow goes better than today and we're actually, you know, on the air when I walk in around 4:45am or so.

Should be a good time though. It will be fun working with Heather D. in the morning and I heard Heather M. covering for me today. She has a lot of promise. PM drive news is in good hands!
