ZCOUNTRY

I think that they better get some more local talent in there quickly, or risk becoming irrelevant already

Agreed. Despite the music being pretty good, Country listeners are loyal to their local personalities. Unless they bring in a full staff of warm, friendly, relatable jocks, at least through the daylight hours, I say they don't do Jack Squat. And why not evenings and overnights, too? After all, who was the old Z-107's best-known personality? Dandelion! And she was on the GRAVEYARD SHIFT! In the long run, quality airstaffs don't cost, THEY PAY!

Whereas a live staff would be a plus, remember they don't have to beat BOB or GTY...just dent them to make the Z-Country decision worthwhile. White noise would have been a ratings improvement over the Cool Pop-MIX-Channel parade of the past 8 years.

As a casual observer, it sucks not being able to observe the ratings progress or lack thereof.

With that monster signal, they better put more than a dent on GTY. Bob will be more difficult though...strong heritage morning show and good throughout. Remember, it was Bob under Shelly Easton who knocked this station out of the format to begin with.
