Zephyrhills LPFM

Ive had the chance to listen to 96.7Fm and exchange emails with the Good Doctor....... he's a very nice guy and it's really a good station to listen to~!

Thanks for sharing the article. Although, at times, very unprofessional and hokey, local radio was a good thing. Sadly, there are few, if any, real local radio stations. For example, here in New Port Richey there is no local station. Once upon a time there was WPSO, WGUL, and my old station WLVU. Local radio gone from the landscape. They also provided training grounds and places to pay dues.

The music is from all eras for almost all ears...."Return To Sender" segued into "Jump".I've also heard 60s and 70s tunes on here I havent heard on radio ...um...well since I played them, lol..The old fashioned jingles---the singers even make "WZPH, Zephyrhills' sound big-time....

WZPH makes for an oasis of good listening in the Sea of Corporation, especially driving around town...

Ever go into a neighborhood bar that has a jukebox. In the course of a few hours you'll hear everything from hard metal to RAP to country to oldies but goodies to Sinatra. Isn't that what Top 40 was? Although Music of Your Life did have some "train wrecks" isn't that what they did? Variety.

They are indeed great for what they are. The few times I am actually up in the Dade City/Zephyrhills area, I have them punched in. Not unlike listening to T40 AM in the 60's and early '70's as a kid. WQAM, WAPE, WLCY...

I had Dr. Dr. Thayer as a teacher last year at Land O Lakes High. When I sometimes could pull in his radio station, I could hear his voice on the radio.
