Just announced Friday apparently.....no idea who's idea it was. My impression was that he had become a very strong part of their lineup.

Zinno out at 92.9?

I thought he was excellent. I wonder if it had to do with the rumored CBS cutbacks.
Rodney Ho's wrote in his blog that Zinno aired a repeat at of an earlier hour at 2AM after an NBA playoff, and that was the pretext for firing him.
Pretext indeed. That does not sound like an offense worthy of firing someone. As an outsider, I don't know the station's motivation for firing Zinno. However, I do know that 92.9 has lost a top-notch host.
