the PD is the cumuless corporate programming machine headed by the great dickey braintrust.
It's too bad because someone like tom lazar is actually a good radio guy who gets it but he can't make a move unless it's blessed by the atlanta braintrust.
lazar can't even get the internal support to fix the zok engineering problems...
is zok still running at half power? the processing sounds awful? does anyone know what is going on?

Yeah I have noticed that they sound a little "muddy"
While it didn't start out that way...Tom has earned the respect of Jan Jefferies and does have a lot of pull.
Cumulus normally is well programmed, they don't spend big money...but who does in this business. Over all they are a good operator like Clear Channel or CBS radio.
Jan is a great programmer, and cumlus rockford has a great team in place, so I think ZOK is in great hands. If you ask me the market better watch out. We're on fire.
Well, you couldn't tell that onair the station sucks, its weak with promotions and marketing needs help...they are so cheap but thats cumulus.
True....but considering they have no $$$ like every other station in small mkt america...they do pretty well.
What up with the station voice, who does the imaging? I know its hard to compete against Chicago, but come on. B96 sounds so much better, so does KISS FM.

So, explain to me exactly why none of their CHR stations (minus WWCK/ Flint, MI... which is being programmed totally by its PD, Brian Figula, with only minimal interference from Jan Jeffries) are winning?
How is Number One 18-49 not winning?
Some cumulus stations are well programmed, depends on the market and who the pd is and what type of support from corporate they get...
