ZXL catch today

Good skip today, had WZXL loud and clear, I noticed they have a music intense morning show. They played a good selection of Rock, Ozzy, Allman Bros, plus the usual safe Classic Rock, not too many currents. I wonder if this would work in the Philly market, should YSP have dropped talk and went music intense mornings and throughout the day. Does this work for WZXL, its the first time I heard a Rock station with a Music Intense morning show.

WZXL has been serving up a music intense morning show for many years; from the Ron Bowen/Molly McLane show in the 90's to todays version of the zxl morning show. They've always done an excellent job of mixing it up with music plus short and sweet talk on local and national topics. Unless the shows are outrageously funny..talk will always be "an also ran". A format like zxl's, in my opinion, would do really well in the Philly market.

Ron Bowen moved North after that to flip Albany\'s WQBK to Active Rock, from Classic Rock. Bowen was fired after about six months, and WQBK is once again,

Classic Rock. What ever became of Ron????
