Zzzzz..

Guess this board has fallen asleep again. Not much happening at WDRC, WXCT or any of the pirate radio stations I guess ;D

I know! Let's get some more pirates on the air! Woo-hoo! WAIT...maybe not. :(

Hmmm.....I guess my point was, isn't there anything else going on around here?
Nobody found a buyer for 104 yet?
Any rumors of a format change? (i.e. let's put Kiss 95.7 out of its misery)

Just saw Connecticut Magazine's "Best of"
KC 101'S TOTAL ACCESS with Michael Maze was named "Best Morning Show"
WEBE was named "Best Local Radio Station"
Thoughts??

I'm still hunting who is running that 103.1 relay in stamford. I wanna find it dammit!

I heard WLIS/WMRD blew out their entire lineup a couple of days ago; ask MarcB.

I heard Brad Davis will eat his shoe live on the air tomorrow.

Does anybody else consider Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin to be a dead ringer for Elaine from Seinfeld? I can't shake that image when I see her. Add to that, consider that your choices this fall will be between Obama/Joe Biden or McCain/Elaine. Say them fast enough and it almost becomes a semi-spiritual chant. Since there doesn't seem to be much else to talk about, I thought this might be a good chew.

Most would say Tina Fey.

In fact, you can bet that the entire case of Saturday Night Live will be hoping for McCain to win this election - "four more years" (of material)!

I absolutely see Elaine when I look at her. I can also see a little Dr. Melfi (Lorraine Bracco) from the Sopranos

We know, you've said that before. A ridiculous idea. You'd be screaming if it were a rap/hip-hop station that were under threat.

I don't know about you but I see a little Sally Field from her "Gidget" days. Or was that "The Flying Nun"?

I hadn't realized how much Gov Palin resembles so many other famous women in Media History. I can't stop trying to think of others. I though I had a good thing with the "Obama-Joe Biden vs McCain-Elaine" line, but it's a lot harder (for me) to work Tina Fey or Sally Field into the mix. Not to mention how many other look alikes may pop up. This is becoming a far more intellectual challenge than I imagined! Help!!!

Can we get this thread back to boring Connecticut radio? (LOL). Say...did WWYZ-FM 92.5 even acknowledge their 20th anniversary this week with the country format? :)

Not really( Only good rap stations aka Hot 93.7). Power 104 was not all that great ( not miss ).

Not a good idea.

#1 - it's better that listeners think the country station has always been there.

#2 - looking ahead is always better than looking back.

#3 - other stations in the market, like WTIC and WDRC, have much better heritages. yz would only be reminding listeners of that.

#4 - the station lacks a long-time, legendary personality like Ray Dunaway or Gary Craig.

Looking ahead to more automation, voicetracking and Ryan Seacrest-style radio shows? Yeah, that's much better.
