Ironically, Shaw's Supermarkets is running a promotion for free RR dinnerware. There's no mention of her show in the in-store publicity materials, at least none that I've seen.
Rachel Ray a good fit for next season over on ABC-13 in Houston(KTRK) because that station might steal Dr. OZ from Channel 2, And Dr. OZ might even wind up on FOX 26, (KRIV) because Dr. OZ has downgraded its time slot down to 12 Noon from 3:00 PM, as it gives its spot back to Dr Phil, who left KPRC after 4 seasons away from that station (Last seen on KUBE-57, For the past two seasons).

I'm waiting to see how her ratings are on WGN-TV, since WGN-TV lost Live With Kelly & Michael to WLS-TV, & replaced the 9am timeslot with a 6th hour of news. Rachel Ray is on between the WGN morning news & the WGN Midday News. Many people in Chicagoland suggested that WGN-TV move her show to the afternoon, since they chose not to replace Live with another syndicated show, & added another hour of news. They suggested that if they're gonna hog the morning hours with news, that they should just make the 10am timeslot news as well.
Her ratings will probably be poor in Chicago, but I think she sustains from her clearances in NYC/Philly and some of the markets where she is on a network station. If ABC does nix syndicated 'Katie', it could move Jeopardy/Inside Edition back to 3pm and pick up Rachael at 2pm on WLS. Somebody here mentioned Katie joining 'The View' when Barbara Walters retires, which sounds plausible.
I'm wondering how Queen Latifah will do. In Philly, it's a 3pm battle with Q Latifah vs. Ellen vs. Katie vs. Dr.Oz, all very female oriented talk shows. While WPVI has traditionally been the strongest of the four network stations, I think Katie's show probably draws the least amount of excitement of them. Rachael won't compete better but her show is probably a lot cheaper.
It however was WLS-TV's current station director that didn't want Live with Kelly & Michael on at the same time as Windy City Live, & over bidded for the show, just to keep from competing for ratings. Had Emily Barr stayed as WLS-TV's station director, I doubt Live with Kelly & Michael would have come to the station, as she was committed to Windy City Live at 9am.[/color]
