thats getting irritating, either stay on or dont use the signal, its frustrating to listeners.
Is Ted Tucker a controversial figure in Tucson radio?
Not at all. He's just known for being a guy who is apparently wealthy enough to own radio frequencies in Pima and Pinal counties and playing commercial-free music from his own vast collection on them (other than 98.3 KRDX Vail/Tucson which carries a satellite oldies format).
BTW, 103.7 KXZK is off-air today.
is 98.5 owned by the same guy? decent mix though kind of repetative if you listen for more than a day or two, goes ota at sundown.

Now, wouldn't *that* be a scoop!<...> Certainly the evil empires are not spending $$$ to acquire rim shots any longer. Can anyone confirm the game plan with 98.5 and 103.7?
too bad he programs this one with a feed and not the vast library he as on the other stations, Tucson could use varietyYes. I mis-IDed the frequency as 98.3. That's KRDX Vail/Tucson. Actually, they usually go dark an hour or two after sunset, as they have a solar-powered transmitter.
