Does the University of Kentucky or the University of Louisville have the larger radio network for their football and basketball broadcasts? Over the years, it seems U of L moved from just a station or two in the City of Louisville to having some stations in parts of the Commonwealth. U. K. has alwayed seemed to have an extensive network going back to the days of Claude Sullivan and the Standard Oil Network along with Cawood Ledford calling the Wildcats at the same time on 50,000-watt WHAS.
Both schools have Cincinnati stations on their network. WCKY - 1530 - has both the Cats and Cards and if the teams are playing at or close to the same time, the Louisville games are aired on WSAI - 1360. I wonder if those are the only out-of-state stations that carry the two teams?
Just wondering the extent of how the two rivals are heard in Kentucky? I assume each team may be heard in all parts of the Commonwealth
