Yeah, Baila. Get lost!
I mean, yeah, you were first.
and yeah, you've been on the air for some 30 plus years.
and yeah, you were originally another run of the mill, small town country station, and gave that format up for a music genre unavailable anywhere in the area.
and yeah, when Liberman bought you some 10 years ago they went to the trouble of upgrading you to 35 kilowatts legally, helping you ditch the fast living of Bay City, Texas for the greener pastures of SW Houston, and did so with the full support and blessing of the FCC.
and yeah, there's no other Spanish dance music available in the market, which makes you "unique" all on your own.
But....
Don't you know? An LPFM in Cypress has lit up!
and you interfere with said LPFM, even though you've resided on the same channel since Jim Pruett and Colonel St. James were still going to work at KLOL...on Lovett Blvd. and they knew you were there when they applied for KCYB...
and you speak foreign!
and it's not like you actually serve anyone in the area! I mean, there aren't even any Spanish dominant residents in SW Houston...or Rosenberg...or Richmond...or Simonton...or Beasley...or El Campo...or Kendleton...or *gasp* the COL of Bay City...
and it just makes me mad, too...
and I am banging my head on this wall again...
I wonder...
If KNTE were still KXGJ, still speaking "domestic", still running country as the umpteenth station in the area to do so, and still locally owned and operated in Bay City, would you maintain your stance regarding the allocation?
I certainly hope this helps to clear up the misconception that I don't like you because your an avid supporter of the oldies/classic hits format. This nonsense is why you and I can never see eye to eye. It has nothing to do with musical preferences and everything to do with your intolerance of anything or anyone broadcasting non-English language programming.
