5/22-6/18. KYW 1060's and WPHT 1210's numbers better be low enough for them and CBS to finally make changes and end the status quo with the station.

Is it just me or does the headline suggest that actual ratings were posted here? For the record, new numbers are supposed to be out today. Couldn't wait, Julius?
A lot of stations [both AM and FM] in the Philly 12+ PPM ratings for June were down. It's summer less folks around so fewer ears listening.
I saw that too Fred, that Oldies and Classic hit stations were up. Yep its summertime and listening habits change. Sitting on the beach with Oldies or Classic Hits in the background, enjoying some cold beverage sounds like a good combination to me.

WPHT actually went up 0.1, granted not a lot, but the bottom didn't fall out either. Possibly that tiny increase is due to Phillies baseball. Odd thing is 94.1 WIP-FM dropped and they too carry the Phillies. Of course with out real break downs as to when folks are listening to a given station this is all surmise. The Phils may have helped both 94.1 and 1210 from having even worse ratings as their other programming may have plunged while the Phillies brought listeners to both stations.

The idea that seasons or weather causes significant changes in listening is one of radio's favorite unsubstantiated myths.
People won't take PPMs to the beach? Really?
The same people who WILL take smartphones, tablets and laptops?
Besides with smartphones, tablets and laptops who needs radio (for weather or anything else).
