Fantastic word game

The Electric Parakeet was a supergroup that included Robin S, Ronnie Dove, Charlie Byrd, Jerry Jaye, Bettye Swann and Gil Scott-Heron, but they never found much favor with concert-goers, who almost unanimously agreed that the Electric Parakeet's music was for the birds.

Martin Luther knew that he would be well-known forever if he was martyred and that is why he composed that famous song for Beck that says "I'm a Luther, baby, so why don't you kill me?"

When this year's Worst Pun awards are handed out, I hope you'll all remember me.

Kill me with your best shot, JeffM, but you'll first have to follow that one big rule we have which is to use one sentence and one sentence only.

Jeff, as your friendly Game Czar, I need to impress upon you the importance of following the one main rule we have which is to use one sentence only and hopefully a well constructed sentence. I'm invoking the little known rule we have called TheDude Rule which allows me to backtrack to the previous contribution and clue ('kill me') to get us back on track. You can backtrack, Jeff, to check out the rules which I posted shortly after you joined and also when CTListener joined. PowerWorld, TFWG, and LARR's School of Punnetry And Interesting Factoids thank you very much for your cooperation!

Do that ellipsis thing again and WMC2008 may have to kill you!

I hope I'm not violating an obscure subsection of TheDude Rule by basing my sentence of JeffM's revised contribution and not WMC's boldface ending of his invocation of the rule two posts up. If I have, please accept the following as well and I'll wait for a ruling as to how we continue from here.

Use one sentence and one sentence only when reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

Before the school day begins for our summer band camp students tomorrow morning, we shall have JeffM come in for a clear introduction to what we prefer and don't prefer as a sentence ere at the Fantastic Word Game (TFWG as I prefer and the FWG as Miss Silkie prefers).

CTListener, thank you for continuing on from the appropriate clue. And thank you for knowing that we don't prefer ellipses in our contributions although I don't recall ever telling you that but perhaps you've seen me admonish Miss Silkie as she is known to prefer them for some unknown reason and, being on the Executive Board, she is allowed to somehow get away with it. Or perhaps I have told you that. I've told so many that it just becomes a blur. Again, thank you for moving us in the right direction. Please join me in class tomorrow morning if you have time for our special instruction to our friend JeffM. What WILL we do with him, hmmm? ;)

Here at the Fantastic Word Game (TFWG as I prefer and the FWG as Miss Silkie prefers), things will move along even though I mistakenly italicized my last contribution rather than bolding it.

And I forgot the h in here. 1 demerit for me.

In the afterlife people supposedly get wings but if I have any say in the matter I would much prefer thighs or drumsticks.

For those of you who hated my bad "Luther" pun, you can be glad that I didn't take WMC's speech about ellipses and make a bad pun about Cream's 1967 song Tales Of Brave Ellipses.

Oops.

A thousand dances or the land thereof would be an ideal premise for a new reality series that combines elements of Lost, Survivor and Dancing With The Stars.

Na, na-na-na-naaaa......

The Stars in the sky are all identified by name, and that is the real reason why LARR capitalized everything.
