Cable systems that cross market lines

Two systems that serve multiple markets in South Carolina that appear to be mostly digital are West Central Telephone and Farmers Telephone Cooperative. Both of them have slightly different lineups involving broadcast affiliates based on counties, but for the most part, they are the same throughout their entire service area.

Farmers Telephone is based in Kingstree, SC (Williamsburg County - Charleston DMA). There are three different sectors. One includes Williamsburg County. Another includes Florence County (Myrtle Beach-Florence DMA). The third includes Clarendon, Lee, and Sumter counties (Columbia DMA). WBTW (CBS Florence) is the only major broadcast station carried in all three sectors. SCETV is carried in all three, but from different stations. WIS (NBC Columbia) is carried everywhere except Florence County (thanks WMBF): http://www.ftc-i.net/vision/channel-lineup/

West Central Telephone is based in Abbeville, SC (Abbeville County - Greenville-Spartanburg DMA). There are two different sectors. One includes Abbeville and Anderson counties (Greenville-Spartanburg DMA), while the other includes McCormick County (Augusta DMA). WYFF (NBC Greenville), WSPA (CBS Spartanburg), WIS (NBC Columbia), WGGS (religious independent in Greenville), and PBS from Georgia and South Carolina are carried in both sectors: http://wctelephone.com/pdfs/DEPlusBrochure03_7_14.pdf

I am pretty sure that southern NJ would probably have more of the Philly presence, while northern NJ would probably have more of NYC presence on the dial.

Heck, I just wish Comcast could get their act together with their phone and e-mail services that lag by hours - even days - in transmission arrival for whatever reason.
That, and giving customers cable channels what they want (NASCAR fans have been wanting Fox Sports 2, since the 8/17/13 launch) and what Comcast have done since then? Absolutely nothing, that's very sad

Time Warner Beverly, OH (Washington County - Parkersburg DMA) carries WBNS (CBS Columbus) and WVAH (FOX Charleston-Huntington) instead of the local CBS and FOX affiliates. The local NBC and PBS stations are carried in HD. WCHS (ABC Charleston) serves as ABC HD as Parkersburg doesn't have an ABC station at all. SD adds WSYX (ABC Columbus) and WHIZ (NBC Zanesville): http://www.zap2it.com/rmp/tvgrid/tvgridprint?lineupid=USA-OH34456-X&tz=US/Eastern&time=0

This system also serves McConnelsville in Morgan County (Columbus DMA).

Charter LaGrange-Manchester GA (Troup/Meriwether Counties - Atlanta DMA) also serves Talbotton and a large part of Talbot County (Columbus DMA). Columbus' Big 4 are carried in SD only, while the HD locals come from Atlanta. Down the road, the town of Geneva, although closer to Columbus, has no cable at all (per Zap2it)!

Meanwhile, Charter's Columbus system crosses into parts of Troup and Meriwether counties (Atlanta DMA).

From the "Cursed Cable Systems" thread:

Zito Cable in Littleton, WV (Wetzel County - Wheeling-Steubenville DMA)
Has no idea what DMA it's in. CBS, NBC, and PBS from Clarksburg, CBS and NBC from its home market, and ABC, CBS, FOX, PBS, and MNT from Pittsburgh. No CW at all

thats different than what the Zito site shows

This system also serves Brave PA (Greene County - Pittsburgh DMA)

...when I lived in Sharon, Wisconsin, the TCI Cable system, with its head end in (IIRC) Crystal Lake, Illinois, carried the Rockford and some (but not all) Chicago and Milwaukee stations; there were no Madison/Janesville stations on the system. Oddly enough, while I could pick up only Rockford and Madison/Janesville with my rabbit ears, and nothing from Milwaukee or Chicago, Sharon, in the far southwest corner of Walworth County, was officially considered to be part of the Milwaukee ADI...
