If Fox were to go to KIRO and CBS to KSTW, where will the CW end up at? KCPQ? KONG? KZJO with MNTV moving to KCPQ?
Didn't KIRO switch from CBS to UPN and KSTW pick up CBS at one time? As I recall, that arrangement didn't last very long; after about two years KIRO went back to CBS. If there's going to be another switch in Seattle, a KIRO/KCPQ one sounds better. In the event (and I'm just brainstorming here) that KSTW did become a CBS o&o, I hope the Eye Network would put more money into it than it has WWJ Detroit.
Tribune has promotional platforms with WGN-TV and two radio stations in Chicago to promote WPWR something FOX has never done
So will KCPQ will become a generic "Fox 13" and have a WNYW-like news set? Doesn't Fox know that the name "Q-13" has been used even before the Fox affiliation began in Seattle on KCPQ?

KCPQ used to mean "Clover Park Quality." I suppose there was only a few hours of PBS programming a day - did the PBS KCPQ ever have instructional programming in the daytime ala KCTS?
It went off in January 1980 and yes, 11/4/1980 was the KCPQ relaunch date. Q13 has been used since then and that heritage should never go away. Watch Fox Television Stations turn that legendary KCPQ into a generic, MyFox station. And then I suppose we'll "C-More My-22"? The JoeTV branding might be short-lived if Fox TV Stations takes over 13/22.

Well does KCPQ have much value without Fox? KRON was valuable too, but not so much without its NBC affiliation. WPWR was a decent independent, till it was bought by FOX and became a dumping ground. I don't think WGN would do much better of a job.
Same reason they went after KTVU-Oakland/SF.

Filed with the FCC on Friday: Fox is buying KBCB in Bellingham.

This doesn't have anything to do with KCPQ. But this could mean something...
Looking through tonight's paperwork, KBCB in Bellingham, WA is being sold to (get ready y'all) FOX!!!! for $10M. The station is also letting Fox operate it under an LMA, until the sale closes.

First of all, the station's coverage area goes further north so it doesn't reach Seattle proper, but it does reach to the southern portions of British Columbia (reaches Vancover proper).

But there's some unanswered questions. Why would they want a TV station that doesn't reach Seattle proper (unless they want to go for cable coverage)? Are they're going to make that station a possible MYNet channel and possibly place a repeater for Fox with it? Or do they want to make this the new Fox station (which I would think it would be extremely unbelievable). I would still think, Fox needs to have at least one of the stations in the Seattle proper to go with KBCB, whether its KCPQ or not.

But it is very clear that Fox wants to make its mark in Seahawks territory.
