Nbc has decided to give MUN2 a face lift by rebranding it as NBC UNIVERSO claiming that they will air more sports in Spanish starting with THE SUPERBOWL. The change is supposed to happen February 1.
they have enough programming for a handful of channels, but instead it's repeated ad nasueam across dozens of networks.

Do they think that by putting a peacock on all their ho-hum cable channels, that it's going to suddenly get people interested? I'm beginning to think NBC/Comcast is as bad as most of the Canadian conglomerates - they have enough programming for a handful of channels, but instead it's repeated ad nasueam across dozens of networks.

A Spanish simulcast of the Super Bowl would bring desperately needed eyeballs their way
Any info about Telemundo renaming as anything else too? Doesn't make sence to only rename mun2 and not Telemundo. Nbc latino would be a lazy name to rename it as, Nbc mundo? Or maybe mundo Nbc. Just like fox did with Mundofox.
Telemundo just had a rebranding two years ago, so they aren't going to switch anytime soon.
