You said he doesn't get challenged. That was an example where he was. It wasn't the first time. Although the protest usually comes from the gallery.

It wasn't inaccurate, however.

Everyone should watch the British Parliament on C-Span sometime. They know how to argue properly. The poor PM has to sit there and get yelled at by MPs from time to time. I think it's not necessarily a bad thing.
 
So, this thread made me curious as to when Rush's current contract expires. It expires at the end of 2016.

Would be a rather convenient exit-time: Right after a presidential election.

Given recent developments, I'd say Premiere would make him take a very significant pay cut, particularly if his ratings don't pick up during a presidential year ... particularly a presidential year in which Hillary Clinton is likely to be the Democratic nominee and the GOP appears to be poised to have a free-for-all with everyone and their cousin running for Pres.

Would Rush be interested in self-syndication or setting up something of him own like Beck's Blaze?
 
All of what you say seems very possible, although I think CC will want to retain some kind of finger in it, with more limited risk, ensuring they have first shot at the content.
 
I'd imagine it'll be the same deal they've always had, for somewhat less money. The big dollar contract days are over.

I don't think Rush is the kind of guy that would do what Beck did at age 63. He seems content staying on cruise control and making extra money from the books and iced tea.

Perhaps the better question is; how long will his audience stay alive.

This, and the other right-wing gasbags are slowly working their way down to the same types of signals that used to host MOYl formats....IF they can find enough vacuum tubes to keep on the air.

In a nutshell, it's attitudes like yours that have made talkradio increasingly unlistenable: NO sense of humor at all.

Calling Rush "fat" hasn't been funny since 1993. If that's your idea of humor, then you're in trouble.

The reason I point out when people act like asses is because they're almost always the same people crying like babies over the "harsh tone" of "mean" conservative hosts. They're hypocrites, the lot of them.

First of all, I didn't call him fat or make fun of his weight. Go re-read the thread if you must.

I don't have an issue with "harsh tone", but I do have an issue with liars spreading repeatedly debunked nonsense to gullible listeners.

All I did is point out that the type hosts you love and defend so much often lie and repeat factually debunked garbage to their gullible listeners....of which you are clearly one.

It's okay though, yu're still allowed to listen...but don't be surprised that many here don't take you seriously.
