I could be wrong but based on the amount of Facebook likings and replies, Yo 95.1 and Hot 104.5 best have a back up plan.

Next PPM's should be interesting as both stations were recently at 2.5.

I bet at least one of them goes. My money is on 104.5. Then watch them flip to alternative. That's if 103.3 is fairing well. They might try that, wouldn't surprise me. And hey, we'd be able to hear them much better.

Yo! isn't likely to go anywhere. It's there to help keep KBBT near the top and allows Univision to pair it with 98-5 for ad sales. Look how long Univision held on to KLTO, even after 97-7 had fulfilled its original purpose by knocking KISS from the 6+ skybox by The Beat. I doubt either of them fade away anytime soon, but if we're picking horses to pull up gimp, I'll wager on K-Zep...and the both of them. 93-3 is on borrowed time, 104-5 is likely to tweak more current just to survive.

I think Yo will outlast Hot but The Beat PPM's are also off. I just don't see this lasting more than 6 months and definitely not a year.

Yo! can always transition to a Rhythmic AC format once the battle of the oldies is over.

I can't believe this!

La kalle was my favorite station when I used to live there. The city my have a lot of Tejano and Norteno fans, but LA kalle back in 2010-2011 appealed to a lot of college kids at that time like me at sac. Im from west central Texas over here its all norteno as far as Spanish music is concerned, in 2001 we had a decent cumbia station but like LA kalle it too closed its doors =( why can't good things ever last! LA kalle was what made me love San antonio, my sister was at UTSA a 2 years earlier and I loved the international student vibe from her friends and LA kalle, that demographic diserves equal representation just like all the other cool radio stations in San Antonio, because in San Antonio there was and now should be something for everyone that comes here

Pop N Lock returns to Sunday nights. This time it's on 95.1.

IMO, 95.1 can be sooo much better by broading it's playlist. Now Jack FM can be thrown in the mix with playing Rhythmic Classic Hits. The cool thing about Jack is you can hear artists not currently on rotation on Hot or Yo! such as Michel'le- No More Lies, Samantha Fox- Touch Me and Naughty Girls, Seduction, New Edition, Bobby Brown, Janet Jackson, Newcleus and tons more hits from the 80's and 90's.
