When Hi-Favor bought KSDO 10 yrs. ago, it got a license, ground system , antennas, buildings and a lease for $10 mil. Last December,
Strata Equity purchased the 17+acres and notified Hi-Favor that the lease would expire in 2022. Just like @ Salem's KCBQ, a previous owner
sucked cash out with the sale of the station land (G.E. Capital). Also, like KCBQ, KSDO will have incredible difficulty finding an alternative to their
40 yr. Braverman St. location, which is now zoned R-2, 2 to 7 units/acre.
KCBQ wanted Joan Embry's legacy horse ranch off Ashwood in Lakeside. Her lawyers are still laughing about that. Muth Valley Rd. was
Salem's next try. The residents chased them out with pitchforks. Finally, Salem worked out a deal to diplex on Family Stations' KECR.
So, triplex KSDO to KECR/KCBQ? Wait and see.
