Status of Michelle McPhee DWI and Cop Assault Case?

refusal of the breathalyzer results in an automatic 180 suspension of the license. So the only eveidence they can present a trial id the Troopers testimony. If she didn't assault the trooper resist arrest and get out of the handcuffs she may have been able to skate but she is tough shape.
Do you think ABC News wants to employee a producer with an Assaulting a Police Officer Conviction even on a freelance basis. MEX is sticking behind her because they are all a bunch of nitwitts and don't have many options.
Given that the state police—or any government agency—is involved, I donʼt think for a second that the original incident was a stunt.
That said, rather than her laying low in disgrace and the station trying to cut her loose as quick as they can, as would typically happen in this type of situation, they may very well try and play it out somehow—at least as much as the lawyers would allow/recommend—for every .001 rating they can extract.
She could have lured the cop to chase her car by swerving it on her own. She could have spilled alcohol on her clothing or in her car for the smell. Alex Jones likes getting arrested. I have even seen him smiling in handcuffs. Some people are good at inflicting wounds on themselves or she could be in waterproof eye makeup. Her picture is not a typical mugshot with a man's face beside her.. Who took her picture?

I only heard bits of Howie's show Thu but don't know if he mentioned McPhee at all, and VB was in for him on Friday as Howie and wife Kathy were to speak at the Talkers
convention in NYC. Had this been someone else he would have been all over it. She was his designated fill in at RKO for awhile and before she took the MEX job, she called
in to talk about certain things. It's ironic--and note that Howie says he very rarely if ever drinks, though his medication has caused some problems--but here we have a
Boston conservative talk radio host with a show weekdays at 3 pm; someone who has written for newspapers and authored true crime books and so on...sound famliar?--getting arrested for DUI, assault on an officer, etc.
And Howie is quick to talk about those who pull a "do you know who I am?" but maybe not here. He is apparently her friend and occasional colleague
though now is on opposite him.
Inevitably someone will photoshop the promo pic of Joe Ligotti kissing McPhee on the WMEX site and put the pic from her court appearance over her face.

True but the ratings plummeted with him. Howie, a local guy doing the show from here; Mike, orig. from NY and doing the show from Seattle.

Just confirming that Howie Carr is a political hypocrite who will do anything to protect his Right-Wing Flank and McDrunk has a big flank !
Lets not forget that McPhee has been involved with Howie Carr's "Night Of Crime" bookselling tour, appearing with HLC and Casey Sherman at various venues giving short presentations that shill their books.
The guy died in 1971, and people still mention his name. Amazing!

What is the status of Michelle McPhee's drunk driving and assault of state policeman back in June?

No and it was not broomed eithier. She has had two hearings since the arrest. Her attorney, noted DWI defender Jack Diamond is trying to have the case transferred from South Boston District Court.
There has been speculation that she will be convicted of the DWI and skate on the other two charges. Although McPhee refused the brethalyzer she did consent to giving a blood sample at the hospital.
Any Lawyer that does a plea deal that has her pleading guilty to a first offense DWI should be disbarred.
There is no reason for her to ask for a change of venue, she is not high profile, the news reports were non existent, and she would be insane to put this in front of a jury.
Cripes I know people with REAL criminal histories that got a CWOF after admitting to sufficient facts on a first time DWI, and the rest of the charged dropped or CWOF'd.
What is screwing her was she pulled the "I am Queen of the Badge Bunnies" card out of her purse and called some real high ups while she was being detained /arrested.
Anyone with any amount of pull knows you don't make a phone call when the bleep is hitting the fan, you wait til you can call the "friend" and then have them get to the Clerk of Courts who will hold a hearing and decide there is not sufficient facts to go to trial, or have the arresting officers call in sick the day of the hearing or trial, etc etc etc.
And if that doesn't work then the Judge shopping starts......
This is all hearsay, and there is no proof that this happened....
Who is speculating is an important question....and do they have any real insight.
The speculation is being made by several professionals I have spoken to who have years of expirence in drunk driving cases. But like all speculations time will tell.
