Well that's just find and dandy...all we need another blow hard bag of wind spewing forth more rhetoric and disinformation. Talk radio isn't where it's at. If I had my way it would MORE Adel, More Maroon 5 and more jiggyness and with always 10 songs in a row for your work day. Opps once someone played like only 8 songs but no one seemed to notice too much or said anything so there's that too. So let's work up more fake phone calls and play more Wiz Khalifa. I'm busy trying to Whip and Ne Ne over here but I think I just threw my back out...Ok here's a question, if Rush Limbaugh is the major reason for the success of the conservative talk format, then why are there 2 other conservative talk stations in Seattle? Do the other hosts really have that much pull to make them as viable as Limbaugh?
Having terrible programming along with zero marketing are more likely the reasons the station didn't move the ratings needle.

No one laughed at AQH's Seahawks joke. well played sir.
Carguy - no one cares about KVI. At all. It's been that way for 6+ years since PPM debuted. When your median age is 60, and you can barely scrape a .1 25-54 rating in prime, chances are most people won't get excited by anything they do.
"Marc" - apparently people like those 10 songs and prank phone calls. Ask Brooke & Jubal how they feel about their 15 share A25-54 and 20 share W18-49.
kokomo, robin and maynard, dxing, and i'm out.
Ah yes after checking my wife's astrological star charts and drinking the blood of a sacrificed goat I can tell you this I don't need to ask Brooke and Jubal how they feel. Just watch them all bathing in pools of money, big glorious pools of leafy green money from all the success. Yes, Movin is the best station ever made in the history of radio. Thank you for posting the numbers that show the utter dominance KMVQ has in the market. If the human sacrifices continue I predict another massive book and more pools of money. Alright I need to work on my Xmas playlist bitches...Ho Ho Ho!
That's a discussion that belongs elsewhere. Frank, you out there?
It's certainly related to any ratings discussion... although I question any station that has a Voltair on in processing (rather than just metering) mode after the Nielsen upgrade.
What will be interesting is to see if the PUR for the PPM markets goes up based on Nielsen's projection of the impact of the upgrade being about 0.1 ratings points per major station.

David, since Nielsen rolled out the upgrade on the east coast has there been enough time to measure the impact?
They obviously make enough money off that programming to stay on the air, so perhaps that's the reason. And not all conservatives love Limbaugh.
In principal, I agree with you. However, couldn't the same be said for left-leaning talk? Why is there no money to be made there?
Because, simply, liberals don't tend to listen to AM radio, and FM doesn't seem to fare much better. In fact, studies have shown that liberals don't listen to much radio at all. So...where does one go if they want to get a liberal viewpoint across? MSNBC? Nope, they have retreated. NPR? Yes, but small audiences. Blogs? Well, maybe, but not yet popular enough to gain any traction. Sorry, there isn't much hope in this media world right now. Sure, things could change, and they always do, but right now, nope. That said, your candidates apparently don't need it right now. The DEMS will likely win the next Presidential election, and the congress will continue to reject compromise. Welcome to the next four years.
A person's height isn't worth commenting on....You need to work in a shorts reference sometime. The masses here will get riled up with Christmas music on their own, especially in about a week or two.
