Christmas Music

I guess 100.5 will stick with the current format. I think they are wasting a great signal though.

It sure looks like it. Even though (and I know a lot of people hate the "in between" ratings around here, and understandably so, but they're not completely without value) they were at a miserable 1.2 in the P2 ratings that came out yesterday, sandwiched between WKRD (1.3) and WKJK (1.1) to round out the bottom three.

Anyone notice last evening 98.1 WBUL was playing Christmas music and ID'ing as Mix 98.1? It was very odd as I thought they flipped format or perhaps Mix 94.5 switched frequencies. Strange Stuff.

That is strange. I was listening to 94.5 last night around 6-8, but didn't hear any Country.

Would never see a switch with those two. Same coverage area unless they just wanted to change names.

I've listen to station once. Sounds like 94.5 of course.

Don't see a number 1 station moving. If anything I would think WKQQ would move back to 98.1 and put the Bull on 94.5 and move Mix to 100.1 but that would never happen.

iHeart's Mix 98.1 Defiance OH perhaps? They're playing Christmas music. Did you hear an ID specific to Lexington?

Now I'm pretty sure that's who it was. Mix 98.1 in Defiance Ohio. The last few days the troppo has been very good bringing in Ohio stations due to the foggy conditions here at my location. Funny thing, They were both playing the exact same christmas songs on 98.1 and 94.5.

This morning I heard Christmas Wrapping by The Waitreses on 95.7 WQMF.I don't remember ever hearing a Christmas song on 'QMF before. They said that they would be mixing in more Christmas music.Must be trying to get better ratings?

Did you really just ask that question?

QMF has always mixed in Christmas music late in December, but they did start earlier this year then what I remember from years' past.

100.5 has been playing some Christmas music too, and some stuff that goes a bit far from what I expect from them. Monday morning I heard the Wham! song "Last Christmas," which really isn't that close to their current format at all... I thought initially they'd switched to all Christmas. But no, they're still MyFM, and they're not going anywhere. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if this time next year, people are sitting around wondering when 100.5 will change formats or go all Christmas, and nothing will happen, still.

I wonder if the iHeart terrestrial stations aren't flipping to Christmas because of the iHeart Family App they are advertising and pushing. It's running all Christmas now, but there is also a iHeart Christmas channel too.

The iHeart family sounds like a knock off of Radio Disney

Christmas is now full time on 96.9 and 92.9 was playing Christmas too here in Lexington. I think 92.9 was a weekend thing though.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Better late than never for Kiss 96.9 I suppose! I guess they're just doing their "12 Days of Christmas" thing again like they did last year. Of course, Star 1037 is doing their typical All-Christmas on the weekends thing too.
