Yes, service that provides streaming handles licensing. That costs just went up significantly. The owner of the TV station has music licensing for BMI and ASCAP.

Streaming licenses don't cover OTA.

And the cancelled TV licensee does not have music licenses.

1. Convicted felon? Wrong. The offenses were committed as a juvenile. They are expunged. I don't have a record anymore.

Sorry, Joe, court documents state otherwise.

Seeing that you are a compulsive liar as well as a convicted felon, I really don't see the necessity to prove your lies that follow.

Also, legally, under former Texas law if a juvenile is found guilty its adjudication of delinquency, not a conviction.

It's funny how you are a stickler for the letter of the law when it comes to this burning issue, but flagrantly violate the law when it comes to radio!

This is how convicted felons operate. They either deny breaking the law when they are clearly doing so, or they claim they are justified in breaking the law because others are doing the same.

Surprisingly enough, the convicted felon in question is doing both simultaneously.

All you can find are references to my incarceration in civil lawsuits and appeals that I filed, and court decisions resulting therefrom. If a police officer runs my license, he will see entries of an arrest but not a conviction. I can legally say in a job application that I have never been convicted of a felony, and employer background searches will not find any. Before the tumor on my optic nerve affected my ability to see, I worked for the federal government -- IRS and Treasury Department logistics. After a year someone discovered my history on the internet and tried to get me fired. It didn't work.

Wrong, Joe. Once again, you're lying. It quite clearly states that you were CONVICTED of TWELVE COUNTS OF ARSON. Convicted means you're convicted. Arson is a felony. A felon is someone who has committed a felony.

See below:

"Seventeen years ago, appellant Barney Joe Donalson was convicted of twelve counts of arson. After various collateral attacks on the judgment over the years, he sued his trial counsel, appellee Ray Martin, alleging various theories of fraud. The trial court granted appellee's motion to dismiss pursuant to Chapter 14 of the Civil Practices and Remedies Code. In six points of error, appellant contends the trial court abused its discretion in dismissing the suit. We affirm."

Again, that's old appeal stuff. Run a legit background and see what you find... It's ancient history, stuff put behind me. You tried bringing up this stuff before. Nobody really cares. In any event, its almost late and I got to get to bed so I can be up early for a doctor's appointment. Its been fun, but gotta run. I'm truly sorry about what happened with 105.3 and, like I told you privately, you can use our tower free of charge. Goodnight
Goodnight, Joe. Hope things work out well at the doctor in the morning, and the lightening strike didn't create too much of a mess.

This has become one of the more interested threads on the board!

My only comment is that Joe is NOT the one who used prison language to insult me - somebody else on here used the term "butt hurt" while insulting me. It makes me wonder what sort of convicted felon I was communicating with on this board - that they would know that prison terminology. I only know it because somebody warned me only a convicted felon would know that term and therefore they may be a dangerous person. So I ceased all contact with them. I am not in the habit of associating with dangerous ex-cons who communicate in prison language.

LOL, Bruce that gave me a good chuckle. "Butt hurt" is definitely NOT a prison term and is a pretty commonplace word today among most folks under 35 or 40. The biggest users however are probably in their mid 20s or younger.

As already posted, this is not a prison term and has now been accepted in the latest revision of the Oxford Dictionary.

"An excessive or unjustifiable feeling of personal offense or resentment: it’s time to get over the butthurt from last year’s playoffs the butthurt just oozes out of this comment."

It's a pretty common term in LOLspeak.

Maybe so, David, but you have to look at where the term came from in the first place. It comes from prison, according to a friend who has good reason to know. Along with the trend of having pants low, exposing underwear, and the jokes about not dropping soap in the shower (which was very inappropriate on Spongebob Squarepants cartoon for children). For that matter, the term "nitty-gritty" that people use all the time has its origin in slave ships, which had to be cleaned on arrival, so the owners had to "get down to the nitty-gritty". It is best to avoid ALL such terms and behavior, whether or not the origins are understood. They are offensive. Slang used to insult somebody is never appropriate, especially in a professional setting. In fact, insulting someone for any reason is always inappropriate. It is far better to keep one's opinions about another person's relative worth to one's self. We all should be keenly aware of the dangers of words today, when words of hate inspired a person to kill 50 people.

We know he is not very well grounded.

We'll see. I have been listening occasionally to 87.9, and the only thing I hear is some low-level splatter from the first adjacent. No Joe.

Now, whether of not his tower was hit by a lightening strike is debatable. We only have Joe's word for it, and he lies like a convicted felon, which (according to him, he's not). I -do- know that the Commission regularly stages enforcement actions when the violators least suspect it, and there's absolutely no question Joe is a pirate broadcaster.

What I'm interested to see is whether Pirate Joe lights up FM Channel 200 once again.

Place your bets, Gentlemen.

I can get my hands on a Harris FM 2.5 and have a friend in the Tomball area who'd probably be thrilled to rent us tower space to run it...

I don't think there has been such a blatant pirate since Veronica and Caroline ruled the waves.

Q) Are you among those betting?

[blah, blah, blah]

Robertsez, you taking bets or making them? For or against? Bet the KTWL license?

Joseph, unlike you, I don't claim to be the licensee of broadcast licenses in which I'm clearly not. Unlike you, I don't file bogus paperwork claiming to be the proprietor of a company with the exact same name as the licensee, then attempt to impersonate them in fraudulent filings with the Commission. Unlike you, I'm not a pirate broadcaster.

Nice try, though.

Alex Jones has covered Austin with a powerful 1 kW station

Alex Jones is a nutcase. Stop listening to those all-night radio shows that talk about UFOs, fluoridation of drinking water, and FEMA camps run by Martians.

Obviously, you are not in Texas. For half a decade now Alex Jones has covered Austin with a powerful 1 kW station.

The FCC investigation found a transmitter in the 300 watt range, feeding an antenna at about 100 feet above ground.

It could be heard "around the downtown area". Hardly in the Caroline and Veronica class.
