iHeartRadio has launched a station to go after Cumulus' WSM-FM: The Big Legend 98.3:

They're calling it a "classic country" station, but it's not music from the 60s. It's primarily a 90s country station, according to Music Row. WSM has beaten iHeart's WSIX in the past few books. The new station will be a flanker to steal listeners from Cumulus.
In other news, iHeart's SVP of Programming Michael Bryan got replaced this week by Chattanooga's Gator Harrison.
A few weeks ago, posters here were asking about the translator attached to Alt 98.3. Now we know the rest of the story.
