I know we are talking 6+ 6am-12M ratings numbers but it appears both the Houston and the Dallas ratings mark a big change. I haven't checked other markets.
Sunny 99, KODA has always lead the heap in Houston and Kiss FM in Dallas. This book shows KLTN and The Eagle knocking out KODA's time at the top. A fluke? Maybe so. But just as strange, KHKS, Kiss FM has been at the top like KODA, now edged out by KPLX and KLUV.
Keep in mind 6+ overall ratings are worth what we pay for them. It's all about dominating in the right demographic that wins.
Just based on these two markets, might this be a rather odd seasonal adjustment or perhaps more refined research rearing it's head here? For quite a few stations there was a big swing, sometimes up to 10% or more. Something tells me the same ol' is no more either in methodology or some other factor.
