I'm gonna make a prediction

One translator Hegwood (note the spelling) was ;easing a few years ago was found to be running 3,000 watts out the transmitter. This probably helped coverage.

Sad thing is that the owner, Emmanuel(I think) was allowed to keep the license with no fine at all. They blatantly lied in their application by mis-stating antenna type and transmitter power output. It seems the only rules still in effect are for missing public file paperwork and even those do not apply to translators.
We now live in an age of lawlessness...it starts at THE top...

It was either Edgewater, or the other Idaho bunch. Dont forget, in addition to Public files, you need laminated EAS logs.

Except for Gwinnett County :D Don't forget they also broadcast on WFDR-FN 94.5 Woodbury which booms into Columbus, GA.

Nobody said anything to the feds. The licensee was made aware and corrected the situation.

The FCC sent them a cease and desist. Forced them off the air after Gil Moore took pictures of the illegal antenna from a helicopter. The Feds knew exactly what happened yet nothing at all was done.
I'm I the only one (besides the donald) who suspects the system is rigged?

I suspect we're talking about two different facilities, wavo. I refer to one on the Chester Street tower. You kind of have to wonder when someone builds a translator plant with a 3KW transmitter installed.

Hegwood does own 94.5 which is also on Chester. Is that the facility you're referring to?
The one Gil investigated was the 99.1 facility on Chester Ave. WCON had just increased power to 100,000 watts and was getting clobbered by the overpower translator. All the FCC did was turn it off. No fines, no nothing.

WYAY change (according to Rodney Ho)

In an article he posted 11/3/2016 he says 92.3 and 106.7 are going to flip to Hip-Hop. Had no specific date, but said it could be as early as Monday, 11/7.

Streaming is not working at their website, but it is still streaming elsewhere.

Not 106.7, but 96.7 in Peachtree City.
