I agree mofo it does seem weaker, but I haven't been able to discern if its actually weaker or the frequency is just crowded from KMEN Mendota and KMQA East Porterville. Does the average radio have the capability to pick out the translator over the other fringe full power signals? Also, is it actually at the Meadow Lakes location? Based on its coordinance it seems to be that location but are there any others near by that it might be on?
question for them that may know:
so this 20 watt translator is at Meadow Lakes; why does it seem to be substantially weaker than KFCF was when it was only 10 watts from the same xmitter site in the 70s, before upgrading to full class B? KFCF was mono in those days, 100.5 is stereo, could that be it? Or polarization?
