How is Harry doing in the ratings? Also, what are the chances of that show to be renewed for the second season?
Harry Connick Jr. is a musician/singer/songwriter, not a talk show host. Based on his ratings (0.82 season-to-date in households), I'll be shocked if he's renewed for 2017-18.
As badly as "Harry" is doing, it's doing three times the numbers "TD Jakes" (which Tegna has foisted on its stations) is doing (900K vs 300K.) I also wonder if "Harry" will see a second season. It's tough to launch a new talk show in this current market, which is why so few of them even get to national syndication. On my local stations (WCSH/WLBZ) they're double-running it at 3PM and 3AM Seems like a waste to me, especially with WCSH/WLBZ pre-empting "Inside Edition" at 7:30P so often for Thursday Night Football and other special programming.
If "Harry" is canceled, how am I supposed to know when it's time to back it up?
My local ABC station (WGTU/WGTQ) airs a double run of Harry at 9am and 5pm, while Maury (which should be airing in one of those slots IMHO) is pushed to late night.

The man is a fabulously talented musician.
The fact that he has stooped to hosting another trashy daytime talk show is sad.
The fact that TV executives think audiences would rather see him do that than perform his music is even sadder.
I don't watch Harry, so i'm being serious when I ask what does that mean? I can't imagine him using it the way my peer/age/social group uses it.
