I noticed this today while scanning the fm dial near uptown charlotte. Is 94.7 FM being used for simulcasting or is it an issue with the transmitter?
This is could be temporary - Don Curtis (Curtis Media Group) owns both of these translators and Mr. Curtis does not own WXRC (95.7).
For those keeping score, another new translator for the area - WHKY (1290, Hickory) lit up its 102.3 translator sometime yesterday.
Ironically, WMMY used to do that to WOLS when it was WNMX.I heard it this weekend, but unfortunately it's causing major interference to WWMY within its protected contour. I live in Blowing Rock and I can hear WHKY cutting in almost into Boone. In some spots it almost completely takes over, and WWMY pretty much goes away south of Blowing Rock now. I can't just listen to 106.1 either because WOLS interferes with it, although not as badly. I am definitely going to make WMMY/WWMY aware of it because that was the last local FM station we had without interference here.

Just curious...In what areas did the interference occur?
