If I weren't so busy I just might pick up one of those SDR's and drive by the transmitter sight on Lacey Bvld. in Hanford.
Rumor is that Verne's 104.5 is also coming from Oakhurst. The further north you drive in Fresno the better the signal gets.
I thought the FCC was pulling his license for 94.7 in Firebaugh? http://kkdjradio.com/ and https://www.facebook.com/denisewhite637?fref=nf
https://ecfsapi.fcc.gov/file/020113236678/FCC-17-6A1.pdf seems to indicate both verne and Zawilla were both denied an appeal as the supposed non-profit the license application was filed under was not in existence until years later, therefore the application was invalid.
Ok let me clarify since I called and talked to a administrative secretary to an administrative Law Judge at the FCC. "Mr Zawilla lost all of his stations , if you read completely through the FCC findings Mr Zawilla was denied his appeal. The findings were final the other gentleman you are referring to as Verne AKA Verne White has not been denied at all in fact both of the stations Mr White claims to own were pulled out of the proceedings. Read carefully through the FCC documents and you will see that Verne White and his Attorney attended the hearing in Washington DC, on the other hand Mr Zawilla failed to appear. I am sure the Judge was probably not to happy about that. I have driven to the westside and heard Kyaf on the air at 94.7. I visited with the mayor and building owner where the Kyaf studios , offices and transmitter are housed, he stated to me that Verne White has been his and his Fathers tenant since 1999. He was the the one who built the station and still to this day is there on a regular basis.
A further look into the long list of documents filed by the FCC make it very clear that Mr Zawilla and this is a quote from the FCC paperwork "is not fit to hold a broadcasting license."
Now my question is how does KZPO 103.3 Lindsay stay on air when Mr Zawilla has lost this license that was under the estate of his Deceased Girlfriend Linda Ware. It appears the family of Linda Ware never appointed Mr Zawilla the executor of the estate. Further discovery I visited the studios in an office closet (one small desktop computer)in Visalia after calling the station a very nice gentleman Mr.McKenna introduced himself as the Chief Engineer and General Manager while on the tour I discovered a microwave link that I was told that sent the music and signal to a mountain top transmitter I ask him if I could see his public file and licenses for the radio station and microwave link he told me there was no public file and the station license was at the mountain top transmitter site. I then asked him about the microwave license he stated " We have never had one".
I did make this fella aware that I was an Engineer for years in Southern Ca and since moving to Tulare I loved listening to the station and the music, he then told me that the station was for sale, I asked him how could it be for sale when the license has been cancelled according to the FCC documents on Mr Zawilla. He then told me the Administrative Law judge told him he could sell it , when I probed harder i ask him for that Judges name as I was going to call him strangely he couldn't remember his name.
I then called the FCC for further info seems like they are shutting it down.
I did a lot of research on this as I love the music and hate to see this station go away, anyone else that has information on this please chime in.

I can confirm KYAF is off the air.
Repeater 99.7 is still on the air as of 4 PM today.
After I toured the closet facility and met with Mr. McKenna who told me he is the General Manager and Chief Engineer then after I asked some serious questions as I reported a couple of weeks ago, he told me a tall tale that the station was for sale and asked How can it be for sale when I read the license issues with KZPO and Mr Zawaila he told me an Administrative law Judge told him to sell it, so I ask for the Judges name, he stated " I forget"
Quick question, I have read all about this Vern guy I called KKDJ and got a recording 559-831-5535, then I called KYAF 559-659-0100 ask for Vern he was not in I was transferred to a guy named Richard who stated he is the director of operations and General Manager, I asked how to get a hold of Vern he gave me a number no answer so I left a message. Anyone have contact information I would like to meet him??
