I wasn't aware that was a requirement, or that you are the one in charge.

I've worked in a lot of markets including Seattle, thank you.

If you don't like my posts, put me on ignore. It's easy to do.

Carry on with the victim mentality, but so long as you're going to make assumptions such as morning shows being the only catalyst for a radio station, I'm going to point out the lack of knowledge of radio.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to hop into my Lexus and pick up my shorts at the cleaners.

I don't know where I said they're the "only catalyst" nor do I have a "victim mentality." But if it makes you feel good, believe what you want to believe.

I think to prove one point or another, we should look at a more established battle between KQMV and KPWK. Simply based on anecdotal evidence and personal opinion, the two stations are about equal in presentation, yet KQMV with the much stronger morning show absolutely kills KPWK. Does anyone have numbers on those two stations outside of morning drive to tell who is winning the rest of the day?

It's Movin', and it's not even close.

It's the only reason that was stated and you have not offered any other reasoning. Google and Wikipedia can only help so much, huh?

And the "you're only going to shoot it down" thing is a clear victim mentality. I've been called every name in the book here, rather than feel defeated I get a chuckle out of them.

I'm looking forward to the day you stop with the unprovoked personal attacks on someone you don't know, and start posting about radio again.

Otherwise, this will be my last response to you.

AQH is an @$$. The only thing they know is verbal assault, and only way to deal with them is to hit back with the truth, and hit hard.

I remember an article on one of the radio websites last year -- it's the one quoted here often, where the guy talks about the ratings in the money demos -- and Movin' had a monstrous share of 18-35 or whichever demo. It was like a 10 or 20 share -- something very large like that. My memory may be off on it, but AQH is probably correct here. If one searches back through these threads they might find the link somewhere. It was maybe halfway through last year.

Seattle is a lot like San Francisco...hippies, lefties etc. They do not like country music, which is associated with conservatives and gun-nuts (whether its true or not). SF has no country station...it's been tried several times in the recent past and failed twice.

As far as I know, the ONLY successful Country Station in SF was KSAN 94.9. Then when frequencies were swapped for a reason I do not recall. KSAN moved to 107.7 and debuted as Classic Rock. WiLD 107.7 moved to 94.9 and kept their CHR and air staff in tact.

You could be right on that, but if I remember correctly, that was the number for morning drive. If I interpreted that wrong and your interpretation is correct, then the answer is obvious. If mine is closer and the numbers are actually fairly close at this time of day, then it's less obvious.
