We keep hearing about budget cuts and hiring cheaper on air talent, but Tegna owned KING 5 is starting another locally produced show. Take 5, with Chris Cashman, Angela Russell, Michelle Li, and Jordan Steele, starts Monday the 16th. This is the third local program that airs on a daily basis on KING, joining New Day, with Margaret Larsen, and Evening, with Jim Dever, Saint Bryan, Kim Holcomb and Michael King. These shows, with their on-air talent, must be expensive to produce. Does Tegna do this in their other markets? Local Seattle TV must be doing okay if they can afford to keep these shows on the air. I don't see this much locally produced programming on Cox owned KIRO, Sinclair owned KOMO, or Tribune owned KCPQ.
