The November 2018 ratings (October 11 - November 7) will be out on 11/28/2018

Any thoughts on the numbers and what stands out to you?

To me, WIP is number 1 to a 7.3 from a 5.9. Their cume is over a million listeners. WBEB is 2nd with at 7.0, however WBEB is number 1 in cume. KYW went up to a 5.5 from a 5.1, Cume went up 100,000 to WPHT went to a 2.9 from a 2.8 cume only went up 7,000. 97.5 went up to a 2.5.

In the beauty pageant numbers...

Granted, I don't follow sports much but WIP-FM is #1 in the market after jumping 6 places and nearly a point-and-a-half?! WPEN had a little bump as well. Is this about the World Series that Philly wasn't in? Did they even do this well during the run-up to the Super Bowl?

WBEB has a nice rebound but not quite to its lofty spring and summer perch. WDAS-FM dropped more than a point but they tend to fluctuate quite a bit. KYW continues upward so I guess people like generic time stamps (LOL). WXTU seems to have hit a wall. WISX cracked a 3-share (still only good for 13th place) which I think is the first time that's happened while they've been a Throwbacks station? BEN's not doing so well. I don't remember the last time they were as low as 2.1. It's only thanks to Urban One that BEN isn't the lowest-rated commercial station in the book.

What the heck is WXPJ-FM?

This is the first book with the Eagles back. Sports talk ratings almost always revolve around the NFL.

In this market every radio format already currently exists there is even a old school hip hop station. I even get y102 where I live in Downingtown. So speaking of WBEN hopefully ratings go back where they were before because I don’t see no philly stations changing anytime soon

There was a thread about the music on BEN a few weeks ago, about it perhaps shifting a bit more pop:

https://www.radiodiscussions.com/showthread.php?712889-WBEN-music

And it's possible some of this shifting is what hurt the ratings, although the ratings started to drop a couple months ago.

But BEN had been a little more rock than WOGL, and then WMGK had a big jump over the summer.

So BEN is looking for its spot. Is it pop or rock? The great thing about being a variety hits format is it's all about the mix.

I think I just need a better memory. WIP-FM actually had a higher share in last October's book! Probably just looked impressive this time around because they are in the pole position.

No way Entercom is messing with an AM station that fills a void in the market. 1060 is news, 1210 is talk. All covered.

I will never listen to radio again, if entercom doesn't get rid of GOP talk on 1210 AM

Yes. Yes, you will. But you know what you could do? You could stop listening to 1210 AM. Oh. Actually, no, you apparently can't do that either.

Sue me. I was bored.

I have stopped listening to 1210 AM.

I think its time that i stop posting about 1210 AM.

Yes. It is time to end the years-long speculation and only bring back the subject if there are significant on-air changes or announcements.

I do not think there will be disagreement if I close this thread now¡?
